(MICROWAVE MAX 750 WATT)
- RAW SHELLED PEANUTS 250 GMS
- WATER TO SOAK PEANUTS
- OIL 1 TSP
- SALT 2 TBSP + 1/2 TSP
- RED CHILLY POWDER 1/4 TSP
- CUMIN SEEDS (JEERA) POWDER 3/4 TSP
- CHAAT MASALA 3/4 TSP
- BLACK SALT 1/2 TSP
FOR SALTED PEANUTS-
TAKE SOME WATER IN A BOWL, ADD 2 TBSP SALT INTO IT AND GIVE IT A STIR. NOW ADD RAW PEANUTS INTO IT AND LET THEM SOAK IN SALTED WATER FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES.
AFTER 20 MINUTES, TRANSFER THE PEANUTS INTO A STRAINER AND DRAIN OUT ALL THE WATER.
NOW PUT THESE PEANUTS INTO A MICROWAVE SAFE BOWL, AND MICROWAVE THEM FOR ABOUT 6 MINUTES. AFTER 6 MINUTE ,TAKE THEM OUT OF MICROWAVE AND STIR THEM USING A SPOON OR SPATULA.
AGAIN PUT THEM BACK INTO MICROWAVE FOR ANOTHER 2:30 MINUTES. TAKE THEM OUT AND STIR THEM.
- REPEAT STEP 4.
- IF YOU FEEL THAT THE PEANUTS ARE STILL LITTLE SOGGY, YOU CAN MICROWAVE FOR ANOTHER 2 MORE MINUTES OR MOVE TO NEXT STEP
- NOW TRANSFER THESE PEANUTS INTO A PLATE AND LET THEM COOL DOWN PROPERLY.
ONCE COOL DOWN, REMOVE RED SKIN FROM PEANUTS BY RUBBING THEM BETWEEN YOUR BOTH HANDS.
YOU CAN EAT THEM LIKE THAT IF YOU WANT YOUR PEANUTS TO BE JUST SALTY AND NOT SPICY.
FOR SPICY ROASTED PEANUTS-
TAKE 1 TSP OIL IN A DEEP PAN, ONCE THE OIL IS HOT ADD SALTED PEANUTS TO IT AND MIX IT FOR 1 MINUTE.
NOW SWITCH OFF THE GAS,ADD ALL THE SEASONING TO IT AND MIX IT WELL.
COOL DOWN AND STORE THEM IN AN AIR TIGHT CONTAINER ONCE COOL DOWN PROPERLY.
